After the 3-year-long pause on industry exchanges imposed by the Covid pandemic, this year, we invited Peter, Uwe and Gunter - experts from our headquarters in Germany and worked in the SMC auto sector for over 50 years - to Shanghai for an idea exchange conference with Geely, Nio and some other renowned automakers in China. New expectations were expressed for the coming new year and they all wished for an united front among them to achieve an even brighter future for the SMC industry.  

The invited guests included some highly reputed automakers in China such as Geely and Nio, some tier-1 suppliers including Magna, Teijin and Röchling, and our partners AOC and BYK.

With its focus on cracks, the biggest concern in the industry, the exchange conference covered a multitude of topics ranging from the properties of SMC, the structural design of SMC products during the early stages, SMC mold design and potential causes for cracks during SMC molding process which allowed SMC product designers and users to avoid those potential causes and therefore achieve more efficiency when using SMC materials. 

At this conference, we also released our latest technology strategy, that is, we were going to purchase a press for the purpose of OE design and development which would shorten our R&D timing and enable us to offer better support for automakers by providing turnkey services.    

We have been dedicated to technology R&D regarding SMC/BMC materials and optimization of the clients’ compression molding process all along so as to provide them more economical and more suitable solutions.
